iPhone 7 (Intel) No touch and white halo around screen after Audio IC repair.
I ran jumpers, re-balled the audio IC and now there is no touch and it has a white halo around the edge of the screen. Any help would be appreciated! I also replaced the IC. I have checked the LCD connector and it's good. I can't find any shorted components either 🤔
Only time that I've seen the halo is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=puboWTVytRo&t=2s
I'm assuming that you've tried another screen right?
Ok, I found the shorted component, replaced it and it's still shorted to ground. How can the Nand short internally just by doing an audio IC repair? I don't understand 🤬 🤣
What temperature do you recommend using? I have not removed one before and don't want to damage it. What temperature do you use for the audio IC? I usually use 370 but this time I tried some new little heat sinks I bought and it took a little longer to remove it. I'll probably not use those again.
Ok, I just practiced on a dead iPhone 6 at 380 and airflow of 4 on my Aoyue 968A. It has an airflow of 0-6. I pulled some masking of the board with the underfill but all pads were intact so I would say I rushed it. I'll take my time on the 7. I really need to upgrade my equipment when I get the $! I know it will make my life a lot easier but this station has been decent beings I started out with a WEP 853D LOL! I see nobody uses flux in most videos for removing the Nand. Do you use flux?
