iPhone 7 Plus No Power
I have an iPhone 7 Plus that doesn't boot at all dcps on prompt to boot is 0.06a - 0.12a and hangs on 0.12a iTunes recognizes it in DFU , This device has never been opened and customer has said it's never been dropped.
All major voltage lines have been measured and do have correct voltages, customer desperate for data.
With the information given, it's really hard to say what is wrong with the phone. The standard procedure that I take is:
- What is the history of the phone?
- Try new battery/charge port
- test with tristar tester
- what does dc power supply say?
- visual inspection of the entire logic board
- measure power lines (vdd_main, vdd_boost, pp1v8_nand, pp3v0_nand, backlight lines, etc.)
I found that iphone 7/+ tends to have a lot of weird problems I2C related, and often it's the front flex and/or rear cam or audio IC that could be causing this. It's easy enough to unplug the front flex, and rear cam. The boot time could be very long (5-10 min), but will eventually boot if it's the problem. Same for the audio IC -- phone should be able to eventually boot up without it.
Having said that, DFU mode is often triggered by the failed power rails to the NAND. Verify all NAND related voltages are present.
