iphone x bootloop after water damage
i have an iphone x with water damage and the screen flex showed black burning mark.
i cleaned the connector on the board , removed the whole logicboard to a new iphone and i still have a bootloop.
any ideas ? how can i solve this ? what lines should i measure ?
Get a high quality charge port.
Thanks for the reply.
you mean a power supply to connect to battery port on the logic board?
The charge port. Google it please.
i did try a good known charging port along with screen connected only and triggered the phone to turn on through Lighting . same issue.
I also did put the board into a good known phone body , same issue.
should i start splitting the 2 parts of the board and see if the top board along will boot ?
Does everything work when it boots? What does it say on the usb ammeter?
This phone is water damaged...you really shouldn't be trying to fix these things. Honestly, I don't even like it when we have forum posts on how to fix water damaged devices.
ok so everything is disconnected except for the battery , charger port.
It shows that the current is 0.112 and drops to 0.077 and the it goes back to 0.112 and it just continues as the device boot loops.
It never boots up?
never, just shows apple logo for couple of seconds and goes back off
split the boards. If it's cmda then it should boot up without the bottom board. If it's intel, then you'll need to attach a known good bottom board.
try a factory reset first.
it's an intel device.
factory reset is not an option really as i need path to data.
i do have a good known both top and bottom half.
i will do as you said and send updates, though this might not happen today. maybe in 48h from now.
