Iphone XR stops booting
i'm trying to diagnose an iphone XR which shows the apple and stops booting. No USB connection happens.
Previous history: it only booted up in recovery mode. Phone was in normal use before.. no water damage, no drop damage - board looks pristine. After an attempted recovery which never completed fully ( the bar went through but on reboot after the restore it already stopped booting )
DCPS behaviour: rises in steps up to 420mA @3.8V (showing apple on screen) then stops and drops to 0.00... with no further signs of life.
I can't find any shorts so far nor anything obviously defective.. anybody has a hint, what might be common causes or how to approach it?
Is this simply a previously corrupted NAND which got finally f'd by the restore? I don't have access to a tristar tester or a nand programmer,
since i'm only doing this as a hobby so far.. (if these are the main causes i'd still wanna know though 😉 )
Any hints would be much appreciated!!
If there is no usb connection, then I would probably try to replace tigris 2 first. Just FYI, I have two XRs in my shop with similar issues that I can't seem to solve either. One was thrown against the wall and the other just stopped working. I've replaced tigris 2 on both and neither solved the issue. There's definitely more to these XRs than anyone knows right now.
