Phoneboard
Phoneboard is a free alternative to ZXW Tools and Wuxinji for viewing logic board schematics and component positions. It lacks some of the detailed features of ZXW but serves basic troubleshooting purposes at no cost.
Overview
Phoneboard provides schematic diagrams and component maps for iPhone, iPad, and other mobile devices. It's a community-developed tool primarily intended as a free entry point for technicians who aren't yet ready to invest in a paid schematic subscription.
As of version 1.4, the interface is available in seven languages: English, Polish, Hungarian, Cambodian, Italian, Finnish, and French.

Phoneboard vs. ZXW Tools
Phoneboard is useful for getting started, but professional technicians typically use ZXW Tools for day-to-day repairs. ZXW provides:
- More complete board coverage across iPhone, iPad, MacBook, and Samsung
- Regularly updated schematics (auto-updated on launch)
- Bitmap and position view layered over board photographs
- macOS support
