Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2025
1. Services
Microsoldering.com provides board-level microsoldering repair services for consumer electronics, primarily iPhones and iPads. By submitting a device for repair, you agree to these terms.
2. Quotes & Authorization
All quotes are estimates based on the information you provide. A final diagnosis is performed once your device arrives. If the actual repair cost differs from the estimate, we will contact you for authorization before proceeding. No work is performed without your approval.
3. Warranty
All completed repairs include a 90-day warranty covering the specific issue repaired. The warranty does not cover:
- New or unrelated damage occurring after the repair
- Physical damage, drops, or subsequent liquid exposure
- Damage caused by unauthorized repair attempts after our service
- Normal wear and tear
To make a warranty claim, contact us at support@microsoldering.com within the warranty period.
4. Shipping & Risk
You are responsible for properly packaging your device and any risk of loss or damage during inbound shipping. We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured shipping service. We provide free tracked return shipping on all completed repairs. We are not responsible for devices lost or damaged in transit to us.
5. Data & Privacy
We do not access, copy, or retain personal data on your device beyond what is necessary to perform the repair. See our Privacy Policy for full details. We recommend backing up your device before sending it to us. We are not responsible for data loss incurred during repair.
6. Payment
Payment is due upon completion of the repair, before or at the time of return shipment. We accept major credit cards, PayPal, Venmo, and bank transfer. Devices will not be returned until payment is received. Unpaid devices held longer than 60 days may be subject to a storage fee.
7. Limitation of Liability
Our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount paid for the specific repair in question. We are not liable for incidental, consequential, or indirect damages, including lost data, loss of use, or loss of business.
8. Abandoned Devices
Devices not claimed or paid for within 90 days of repair completion, despite reasonable attempts to contact you, will be considered abandoned and may be recycled or disposed of.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. The version in effect at the time you submit your device governs your repair.
